I started playing drums at 10 years old by taking snare drum lessons. I would sit in my bedroom with pots, pans, and Tupperware all over my bed and play with wooden spoons. At 14 I got my first drum set. It was a Sears brand and had a big “S” on the drum head. I played pep band in high school and by 17 I bought a 7 piece yellow Gretsch drum set. Man that was a great drum kit!!

My first band experience was with a band called Enchanter. In the very early 90’s I was with a band called Electric Bananas. We made an all original CD called Open Sesame. (you can find a copy in any used CD store for a buck or two)

I took a break from playing for a year or two and then joined a band called Sonic Circus and played with them all the way up until we broke apart. Me, the keyboard player (Johhny Palacek) and the bassist (Dan Comperini) put the beginnings of ESK together. We added Jeremy Martens on guitar and Kip Jones as our singer. Dan and Kip have left the band and we now have Missy on vocals and JJ on bass.
